My first time as a Luton Hoo Wedding Photographer was at the wedding of Soledad and Andrew. They were married in Flitwick Church St Peters & St Pauls. Their reception was held on the Luton Hoo estate in the walled garden. The Luton Hoo Walled Garden was designed by Lancelot “Capability” Brown and established by John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute in the late 1760s. At the time, Lord Bute’s garden was second only to the Royal Botanic Garden at Kew. With its great location the estate can be used as a venue for wedding receptions. The Conservatory is a stunning marquee situated in the tranquil surroundings of the secluded, octagonal Walled Garden. The day started at Flitwick Manor Hotel which is adjacent to the church. This worked out well as I could nip between the hotel and the church, Soledad and her party were preparing for the day ahead whilst Andrew and his party were arriving at the church. Lot’s of confetti outside the church after the wedding. Then on to the walled garden at Luton Hoo. The sofas outside the marquee were put to good use for some group photos. The venue is quite large and the grounds were great for some games of croquet , cricket and other assorted summer pastimes. Everone joined in. I took the happy couple off for some portraits around the grounds and used some off camera flash to get a different look. Then back in for the cake cutting and dancing.
