The Covid lockdowns here in the UK were an opportunity for me to finally get around to sorting out the loft in the house. Over the years so much stuff had been piled up in there. It was getting impossible to find anything.

I knew I had my archive of photographic work spanning way back to the late 1960s up there somewhere, along with old cameras, plus many family prints going way back to the last century. So after finding thousands of slides and filmstrips I decided I had to do something with them. The first task was to get hold of a film scanner. The second, was to edit and discard an awful lot of slides which I felt were not "up to scratch", or of any real interest. For the remainder, I spent some time cataloguing them and this work is still ongoing as I write.
