Copy of Kirsty & William | Herts Beds Wedding Photographer | Part One

Monday, January 9, 2017

I am predominately a Herts Beds wedding photographer and I would guess that the venue in this region that I have photographed the most is Knebworth House. I have had a long association with the staff here and of course I am also a resident of Knebworth village itself. However it is not that often that I get a chance to photograph a wedding ceremony actually inside of Knebworth House. Summer weddings often take place in the gazebo in the gardens or maybe the ceremony will take place in one of the barns.

Saturday was an exception and I had the pleasure of photographing Kirsty & William’s beautiful Christmas wedding inside the Jacobean Banqueting Hall which was a real treat. It is one of the most beautiful rooms in the country and has played host to guests from Queen Elizabeth I to Queen Elizabeth II.

I started at Kirsty’s parents House in Broxbourne, then on to Knebworth House where I gave William and his best man a lift from the barns over to the house avoiding the rain. Williams sister had travelled from Nicaragua to be a bridesmaid at the wedding alongside Kirsty’s longtime friend Lacy.

That old favourite “Bring me Sunshine” was the song for Kirsty & Williams’s first dance. It may not have been very sunny outside on Saturday, but there was certainly a lot of love and happiness throughout the day, my thanks go to Tom Abbott, the master of ceremonies and it was good to see Dean Maudsley doing his terrific magic for the guests.

Happy New Year everyone!
