Quite often when I was a wedding photographer my clients would already have children. So when it came to arranging a pre-wedding shoot they would want to include their children as well.
Here we have two examples of two pre-wedding shoots that I photographed that included the children as well as the couple themselves. Kelly & Alan were getting married at Offley Place later that year. For their pre-wedding photoshoot they wanted to include their children. So we had a Hertfordshire Family Photoshoot just down the road here in Knebworth. Little Myah was wonderful fun to photograph and she turned out to be quite a character. We choose to do the shoot in a nearby field with easy access via a public footpath. I had been searching for this type of field for a few weeks. I knew that Kelly particularly wanted this backdrop for the shoot. I usually spot these fields as I am driving by on a motorway and can never work out how to get to them! Luckily I found this one very local to me and it turned out to be a perfect location for the evening photoshoot we had planned.
Lucy and Sammy were great models for the evening and played with their young sister while I took some portraits of Kelly & Alan. Dad ended up getting a few pats on the head from his little daughter after he hoisted her onto his shoulders and she hung onto his ears! Then it was mum’s turn and we got some lovely pictures of them together. This is just a small selection of the photographs from that session, all taken with the XT1 cameras that I used at that time.
Another Hertfordshire Family Photoshoot
Fallon & Michael were be married in Hertford in early July with their reception at my favourite venue Coltsfoot Country Retreat. Little Ava and Sara were also along for the shoot and we captured a great pre wedding family photoshoot. Both girls are really lively and they were excited to be out in the country on a beautiful sunny morning.
