Everyone comes together for family weddings, often travelling great distances to reunite with family members and also to greet the new additions to the family. As well as the bride or the groom there can often be new children being introduced into a wider family circle.
One of the wonderful things about photographing family weddings is that if you keep in touch with your clients via social media you often see the family grow. Couples will often post pictures of their new offspring, or sometimes they ask me to photograph their new arrivals.
Of course many couples that I photograph already have children, others start their family a year or two after the marriage. Either way it is a privilage to be able to document a couple’s wedding day and then see families join and grow as the result of a marriage.
Claire and Rob are to be wed at Knebworth House next month and it was a pleasure to meet and photograph them together with their baby daughter for their pre-wedding shoot. For many people having a child is the ultimate commitment to a partner. A life that they have created together and are responsible for raising.
