Saturday was my first time as a Wedding Photographer South Farm, a very pretty venue situated on the Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire borders. The day started at Rigsby’s guest House in Hertford where Laura and her family were preparing for the day ahead.
For anyone who remembers the 1970’s sitcom Rising Damp about a guest house run buy a gentleman named Rigsby ( played by Leonard Rossiter ) I can assure you that this particular guest house is nothing like the one portrayed in that TV series!
The wedding ceremony was held at the THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION AND ST JOSEPH roman catholic church in Hertford. This church is open everyday during daylight hours for private prayer and, together with the cloister and garden, is a place of peace and quiet for many Hertfordians of all faiths and none. I have photographed many Hertfordshire weddings here and it is a beautiful church. I love to catch that moment as the couple walk back down the aisle to be congratulated by their guests. It is always a wonderful moment at any wedding and in a church such as this you also have a wonderful backdrop to complete the picture.
South Farm was the next stop and what a surprising and unusual wedding venue this is. Perfect for this time of year with spring lambs on view as well as some baby piglets as well. There is a lot of variety at South Farm and I am looking forward to being the Wedding Photographer South Farm again on the 5th July this year.
Laura and Ryan are off to Australia for their honeymoon ( lucky people! ). I have never been but hope to get there one day. Here’s wishing them a fantastic time in Oz!
